Day 1

Today is the first day of my Carb Detox phase. I made a two egg omelet for breakfast. I missed my morning snack because I got up late. I am required to eat every 3 hours I had breakfast at 9:15am therefore my lunch was at 12:15 pm. I had a chicken breast with soy sauce for lunch. It was good but feels a little weird just eating a chicken breast. I suppose its only for three days I can tough it out. I'm finding it hard to resist the odd bikkie or cream cake that mum has in the fridge but I know I have to do this so I'm sticking to it and have not caved yet. I'm just glad that I can still have my coffee and Milo. I am thinking I am going to set an alarm to remind myself to eat every three hours, its not like I watch the clock all day and I want to do everything right!
I put my pedometer on this morning when I woke up and it has made me realize how little I walk during the day. I am meant to walk for a minimum of 30 minutes a day for exercise and 10,000 steps a day. It is 1:30 pm and I have only walked 1225 steps. I better get moving if I'm going to meet the 10,000 steps.
It is now 6:40 pm and I totally caved already. I'm alone in the house and I raided the cupboard. I had 3 jelly lollies, a cream cupcake from the fridge and a big glass of Milo. I feel very disappointed with myself but I am not going to beat myself up about it. I am going to use my elliptical trainer for an hour tonight. I went for a 30 minute walk after lunch and I'm on my way to10,000 steps so not a total write off.
